Skills Training in Bangladesh

Letter from Bishop Baroi, Church of Bangladesh, 15 July 2007

Warmest greetings from the Church of Bangladesh.

I am writing this to say a BIG THANK YOU to you for the generous grant you have sent for us for the Mobile Training Course we organise for the Young Boys and Girls through the Christ Church Trade School, Jessore. In fact it is really quite a big sum of money for us which came at a time, when we almost decided not to go for the next Mobile Training Course due to lack of money. We are indeed grateful to you for your kind care and concern about us.

We now decided to continue to go for at least 2/3 more Mobile Training Courses. In each course we bring in 30/35 young boys and girls for 6 months training in Trades like Electric, Auto-mobile, Welding etc. From our experience we found this is quite helpful for boys and girls who are drop-outs from Schools. When they get this training they become assets to their families.

Thanking you once again for this. Please pass on greetings and our special thanks to the Boys Brigade members who generously have equipped their brothers and sisters here in Bangladesh.

With best regards,

Yours sincerely,

Bishop Michael Baroi,
Church of Bangladesh.
